Born in Chicago and growing up in South Carolina, Cunningham spent his childhood climbing trees, exploring creeks and building forts. Now an adult, he’s travelled the world, embarking on adventures that range from paragliding across the Swiss Alps to Kayaking in the Smoky Mountains. Armed with a lifelong love of classic literature and all things fantasy, Cunningham enjoys crafting memorable and wondrous tales that inspire and entertain children with timeless messages of truth, goodness, and beauty. When not writing in the early hours of the morning, Cunningham loves going on adventures and spending time with his beautiful wife and three fun-loving boys.
